Guidelines Regarding Security Deposit (Earnest Money)
Eligibility and Conditions
- 1. On the e-Krishi Yantra Grant Portal, a system of online payment of security deposit (earnest money) has been implemented for applying for subsidy on selected agricultural implements. Only after successful payment, the applicant will be eligible for the lottery process.
- 2. If the payment confirmation of the security deposit is not received from the bank before the lottery date, such applications will not be considered. The department will not be responsible for any deposited amount if payment confirmation is not received in time.
- 3. After the lottery, for applicants whose names are confirmed or placed in the waiting list, the security deposit will be refunded only after final settlement of the case. For all other applicants, the security deposit will be refunded immediately after the lottery date.
- 4. For applicants in the waiting list, the refund process will be done after the time period defined by the Directorate.
- 5. Applicants selected in the lottery who do not proceed with the purchase of agricultural implements, their security deposit will be handled as per the rules by the Directorate.
